After being able to show parts of my garage video series 'The Rocket' to Second Life users from around the world, I sought to bring amazing independent entertainment projects into the program of Second Life and utilize it as a social media outlet for multiple projects with potential audiences from around the globe. With similar potential for promoting projects as other social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace, I began to contact show producers for permission to showcase their projects at the Sci-Fi Expo and to my delight every one of them allowed me to do so. In knowing that I was going to be showcasing five amazing independent shows, I turned to creating an area which also showcased amazing interactive 3d creations found in Second Life as well as to provide a gateway and billboards to amazing areas of Science Fiction, Education, History, and RP throughout Second Life.
